Solid Progress for Ashburton Business Estate. Courtesy of The Ashburton Guardian Work on the Ashburton Business Estate, one of the South Island’s largest current subdivisions, is making solid progress as this aerial photo shows (right). The estate, an initiative of the Ashburton District Council, is a 123 hectare development on the esge of Ashburton and includes a proposed relocation of the existing rail yards with Ashburton’s CBD to the business estate.
First stage titles are due in September and sales inquiries remain high with new inquiries nearly every week, said business manager Andrew Mason.
From the outside, much of the development appears finished already with some of the entrances into the estate now having been sealed and the planting of over 33,000 plants throughout the development almost complete.
The estate includes some 17 hectares of reserve, much of it providing a landscape buffer to an established rural residential community to the East.”
